Lighting a path to peaceful, and personal goodbyes.
When a loved one dies, you may turn to a Professional Celebrant, such as myself, to guide you through planning and conducting a meaningful funeral or memorial service.
If you engage me to serve as your Celebrant, you can trust that I will craft a carefully written, fully personalised ceremony. One that truly captures the essence, personality, passions, and story of the loved one you are honouring. Every service I create is unique and tailored specifically to them.
Together, we will select elements that feel right: favourite music or songs, meaningful poems (I offer a bespoke poetry writing service), readings, prose, or prayers. As a person of faith, I offer services for the religious and non-religious, I am there to honour the deceased and their loved ones compassionately and with care in whatever way best reflects their life and your wishes.
I am happy to lead and deliver the entire service from the warm welcome to the peaceful committal, and I can support and coordinate the participation of family members and close friends who would like to contribute by sharing tributes, readings, or other special moments.
In many cases, you might not reach out to me directly; your funeral director will often make the initial introduction on your behalf. Once they share some basic details about your loved one with me, I will get in touch with you promptly to arrange our first conversation.
I prefer to meet in person and in most cases this would be at your home for comfort and privacy, however you are more than welcome to suggest a neutral venue that would suit you and your family members better. Online meetings via Zoom are also an option and work well if distance, health concerns, or other issues make an in-person gathering difficult. While face-to-face tends to feel most personal and supportive, I’m fully flexible to what suits you best during this difficult time.
